Myriophyllum 'Guyana' is a rare and captivating stem plant from the waterways of South America, prized by aquascapers for its finely pinnate, feathery whorls of leaves in vivid lime-green to warm olive tones that create an exceptionally soft, flowing texture in the background of any planted aquascape. Its delicate, intricate foliage adds a naturalistic, underwater meadow quality to the scape, and under good light and CO2 it grows with impressive vigour, forming dense, lush columns of growth. A beautiful and relatively uncommon alternative to the more widely available milfoil species.
Propagation: Take stem cuttings of 5–10cm, remove lower leaves, and replant into the substrate. Grows readily under good conditions and benefits from regular trimming to maintain density.
