The Three Spot Gourami (Trichogaster trichopterus) is a classic and widely kept freshwater fish, named for the three distinctive spots along its body — one on the mid-body, one near the tail, and the eye itself counting as the third. Displaying a silvery-blue body with subtle iridescence, the Three Spot Gourami is one of the hardiest and most adaptable labyrinth fish available, making it an excellent choice for beginner and experienced fishkeepers alike. Its robust nature and peaceful temperament make it a reliable community aquarium staple.
