The Striped Borneo Loach (Gastromyzon zebrinus) is a striking and highly specialised hillstream loach native to the fast-flowing, oxygen-rich rivers of Borneo. Its flattened body is boldly patterned with alternating dark and pale stripes, providing excellent camouflage against the rocky riverbeds it calls home. A fascinating and rewarding species to keep, it uses its modified pectoral fins to cling to smooth surfaces and graze on biofilm and algae — a true marvel of aquatic adaptation.
