Spotted Borneo Loach 3-4cm

The Spotted Borneo Loach (Gastromyzon punctulatus) is a captivating and highly specialised hillstream loach from the fast-flowing, oxygen-rich streams of Borneo. Displaying a flattened body with a warm tan to golden-brown base covered in a dense pattern of dark brown spots, this species has evolved a remarkable sucker-like underside that allows it to cling to rocks and glass in strong currents. An excellent algae and biofilm grazer, the Spotted Borneo Loach is a fascinating and functional addition to well-oxygenated planted aquariums and hillstream biotope setups.
