• Tank Size: Minimum 500L for a group of 5; best suited to outdoor ponds where they have ample space to swim and grow
• Water Parameters: pH 7.0–8.0 | Temp 10–24°C | Very hardy and cold-tolerant; ideal for unheated aquariums and outdoor ponds in temperate and cool climates
• Diet: Omnivorous — quality goldfish pellets or sticks; supplement with blanched vegetables, daphnia, and bloodworm; will graze on pond algae and plants
• Temperament: Peaceful; compatible with other single-tailed goldfish and robust pond fish — avoid housing with slow-moving fancy goldfish as they will outcompete them for food
• Tank Setup: Pond or large aquarium with good filtration and regular water changes; smooth substrate; secure from predators if kept outdoors
