Rotala Vietnam H’ra (Rotala sp. ‘Vietnam H’ra’) is a highly sought-after and visually spectacular stem plant from Vietnam, prized for its fine, needle-like leaves that transition from vivid lime-green at the base to intense orange-red at the tips under high light and CO2. When grown in optimal conditions, it produces a breathtaking gradient of colour that few stem plants can rival, making it a prized centrepiece in high-tech aquascapes. Its delicate, feathery texture adds an unmatched softness and depth to the background of any planted tank.
Propagation: Take stem cuttings of 5–10cm, remove lower leaves, and replant into the substrate. Regular trimming encourages dense, bushy growth and intensifies tip colouration.
