Rotala Green (Rotala rotundifolia ‘Green’) is the classic green form of the ever-popular Rotala rotundifolia — a fast-growing, elegant stem plant with small, rounded leaves on slender, upright stems that create a soft, feathery texture in the mid to background of any planted aquarium. Unlike its pink counterpart, this variety maintains a fresh, vivid green colouration across a wide range of light conditions, making it a versatile and reliable choice for aquascapers of all levels. Its rapid growth makes it an excellent nutrient sponge, helping to outcompete algae while adding lush, natural movement to the scape.
Propagation: Take stem cuttings of 5–10cm, remove lower leaves, and replant into the substrate. Trim regularly to encourage bushy, dense growth.
