Bacopa salzmanni ‘Purple’ (Bacopa salzmanni ‘Purple’) is a rare and captivating stem plant from the Americas, distinguished by its small, rounded leaves that develop a stunning deep purple to violet colouration on the undersides and stems under high light conditions. Grown here in its emersed form, it transitions beautifully to submersed growth once planted in the aquarium, where it maintains its striking purple hues and creates a bold, jewel-toned accent in the midground to background. A slow-growing but highly rewarding plant for dedicated aquascapers seeking something truly distinctive.
Propagation: Take stem cuttings of 5–8cm, remove lower leaves, and replant into the substrate. Allow time to transition from emersed to submersed growth.
