The Spotted Blue Eye (Pseudomugil gertrudae) is a breathtaking nano fish native to the shallow, slow-moving waters of northern Australia and New Guinea, including the Cato Swamp region. Males are a spectacle of colour — vivid electric-blue eyes, a translucent body adorned with fine black spots, and dramatically extended, sail-like fins edged in yellow and white. One of Australia’s most beautiful native fish, and a true showpiece for the nano or species aquarium.
