The Pearlscale Goldfish (Carassius auratus var.), affectionately known as the "Ping Pong" goldfish, is one of the most unique and endearing fancy goldfish varieties available. Named for its perfectly round, ball-like body shape and distinctive domed scales that resemble tiny pearls, the Pearlscale is a slow-moving, rotund little fish that is as charming as it is unusual.
