Peacock Sword (Echinodorus sp.) is a bold and ornamental sword plant cultivar prized for its broad, richly coloured leaves that emerge in warm copper-red tones before maturing to deep green — a stunning display of colour that earns its regal name. In terrariums and paludariums, it makes a commanding midground to background specimen, adding lush, tropical drama to any vivarium build. While related to aquarium sword plants, this form is best kept emersed in a humid terrarium environment where it truly thrives.
Propagation: Produces adventitious plantlets on long flower stems. Allow plantlets to develop 2–3 leaves and roots before separating from the mother plant and replanting into moist substrate.
