The Miyuki Black Medaka (Oryzias latipes var.) is a premium and highly sought-after Japanese rice fish combining the iconic Miyuki (幸) lineage — renowned for its intense, full-body metallic iridescence — with a deep, velvety black base colour. The result is a fish of extraordinary visual depth: a dark, mirror-like body that reflects light with an almost liquid metallic sheen, shifting between black, blue, and silver depending on the angle. At 3cm, these are well-grown specimens with their Miyuki iridescence fully expressed and at its most impressive.
