The Marble Dalmatian Knifefish (Chitala ornata var.) is a captivating and exotic freshwater fish from Southeast Asia, displaying a striking white to pale silver body splashed with irregular black spots and marbling — reminiscent of a Dalmatian's coat — across its distinctive elongated, blade-like form. Like all clown knifefish, it propels itself with a mesmerising undulating motion of its long anal fin, gliding through the water with effortless grace. At 10-13cm, these are well-established juveniles with their Dalmatian patterning already clearly expressed, making them an immediately striking addition to a large predator or display aquarium.
