Ludwigia Brevipes

Ludwigia brevipes is an elegant and underappreciated stem plant native to the eastern United States, prized for its slender, narrow leaves that develop a beautiful gradient from fresh green at the base to warm golden-yellow and orange-red at the tips under high light. Its fine, delicate foliage creates a soft, airy texture in the midground to background of any planted aquascape, offering a subtler and more refined alternative to the bolder red Ludwigia species. A rewarding plant for aquarists seeking warm tones without the demanding requirements of high-tech species.

Propagation: Take stem cuttings of 5–10cm, remove lower leaves, and replant into the substrate. Grows at a moderate pace and benefits from regular trimming to encourage bushy, dense growth.
