Java Moss Vesicularia dubyana

Java Moss, Vesicularia dubyana, is one of the most popular and versatile aquatic mosses in the hobby, native to Southeast Asia and beloved for its soft, irregular branching stems covered in tiny, overlapping bright green leaves that create a lush, natural carpet or trailing effect in any aquascape. Incredibly hardy and adaptable, it thrives in a wide range of water conditions with no CO2 or fertiliser required, making it the perfect choice for beginners and experienced aquarists alike. It is also a favourite for breeding tanks, providing ideal shelter and spawning sites for fish and shrimp.

Propagation: Simply divide and attach portions to driftwood, rocks, or mesh using thread or glue. New growth will anchor naturally over time. Trim regularly to maintain shape and prevent shading.
