The Honey Gourami (Trichogaster chuna) is a delightful and underrated small labyrinth fish, displaying a warm honey-yellow to golden-orange colouration that deepens beautifully in well-maintained, planted aquariums. Males develop a striking dark blue-black throat and belly during breeding condition, creating a vivid contrast against their golden body. One of the most peaceful and undemanding gouramis available, the Honey Gourami is an ideal choice for nano tanks, community setups, and planted aquascapes.
