The Willow Moss Extra Small Driftwood is a charming, compact piece of Malaysian driftwood densely carpeted with Fontinalis antipyretica (Willow Moss) — a lush, feathery moss that drapes naturally over hardscape for an effortlessly wild, aged look. At roughly 10cm, it's perfectly sized for nano tanks, Betta setups, shrimp tanks, and paludariums, and arrives ready to place with zero planting required. Malaysian driftwood releases gentle tannins that soften water and create a natural blackwater aesthetic beloved by many aquatic species.
Fontinalis antipyretica is a cold-to-warm water moss native to streams and rivers across Europe, Asia, and North America. Unlike many aquatic mosses, it has a distinctive elongated, branching structure with dark green, overlapping leaves that give it a uniquely wild, flowing appearance — quite different from Java Moss or Christmas Moss. It attaches readily to hardscape and provides excellent cover for fry, shrimp, and small fish.
