Echinodorus schluteri is a distinctive and elegant sword plant species, prized for its long, narrow, strap-like leaves that arch gracefully outward from a central rosette — giving it a more slender, refined silhouette compared to the broad-leaved swords more commonly seen in the hobby. The leaves are a rich, deep green with a slightly translucent quality that allows light to filter through beautifully, creating a luminous, airy effect in the aquarium. A wonderful choice for aquascapers looking to add variety and elegance to their planted tank without sacrificing the reliability and ease of care that Echinodorus are known for.
Propagation: Produces adventitious plantlets on flower stems. Allow plantlets to develop 2–3 leaves and roots before separating from the mother plant.
