Echinodorus 'Reni' is a beautiful and distinctive sword plant cultivar that stands out from the crowd with its striking reddish-pink to salmon-toned new growth — a warm, rosy flush that gradually transitions to a rich olive-green as the leaves mature, creating a plant that always has multiple colours on display at once. The broad, oval leaves have a smooth, slightly glossy surface that catches the light beautifully, and the overall effect is of a plant that is simultaneously bold and elegant. A wonderful cultivar for aquascapers who want the drama of a coloured sword without committing to a fully red plant, and a firm favourite among collectors for its unique and appealing colour palette.
Propagation: Produces adventitious plantlets on flower stems. Allow plantlets to develop 2–3 leaves and roots before separating from the mother plant.
