Melon Sword, Echinodorus 'Melon', is a striking and popular sword plant cultivar prized in the aquarium hobby for its broad, oval leaves that display a beautiful mottled pattern of green and reddish-brown — reminiscent of the skin of a melon — creating a bold, textured presence in the midground or background of any planted aquascape. Hardy and adaptable, it grows well in a wide range of conditions and is an excellent choice for aquarists seeking a distinctive, patterned specimen plant.
Propagation: Propagates via runners and adventitious plantlets produced on long flower stalks. Allow daughter plants to develop 3–4 leaves and roots before separating and replanting.
