Echinodorus 'Lothario' is a charming and distinctive sword plant cultivar with a personality as bold as its name suggests. It produces broad, richly coloured leaves with attractive reddish-brown to olive-green tones and subtle spotting or patterning that gives each leaf a unique, characterful appearance. A vigorous and reliable grower, Lothario forms a full, lush rosette that makes a striking centrepiece or background plant in any planted aquascape — the kind of plant that draws the eye and invites closer inspection. A wonderful cultivar for collectors and aquascapers looking for something with a little more personality than the standard green swords.
Propagation: Produces adventitious plantlets on flower stems. Allow plantlets to develop 2–3 leaves and roots before separating from the mother plant.
