Echinodorus cordifolius, commonly known as the Radican Sword or Spade-Leaf Sword, is a large and impressive aquarium plant native to North and Central America. It is distinguished by its broad, heart-shaped to ovate leaves carried on long, arching stems, giving it a lush, tropical appearance that fills the background of any aquascape with dense, vibrant greenery. One of the larger Echinodorus species, it is a vigorous grower that rewards good care with a truly spectacular display. Its bold, architectural form makes it a natural focal point in larger planted tanks.
Propagation: Produces adventitious plantlets on flower stems. Allow plantlets to develop 2–3 leaves and roots before separating from the mother plant.
