Echinodorus amazonica "Amazon sword"

Echinodorus amazonicus, the iconic Amazon Sword, is one of the most beloved and widely kept aquarium plants in the world — and for very good reason. Native to the Amazon basin of South America, it produces a lush, full rosette of long, lance-shaped, bright green leaves that arch gracefully outward, creating a stunning, natural centrepiece that instantly transforms any aquarium into a verdant underwater garden. Hardy, adaptable, and forgiving, the Amazon Sword is the quintessential beginner plant that experienced aquascapers never tire of — a timeless classic that looks as beautiful in a simple community tank as it does in a carefully designed aquascape.

Propagation: Produces adventitious plantlets on long flower stems. Allow plantlets to develop 2–3 leaves and roots before separating from the mother plant.
