The Sterbai Corydoras (Corydoras sterbai) is one of the most sought-after and visually striking Corydoras species in the hobby, featuring a bold pattern of white spots over a dark brown-black body, vivid orange pectoral fins, and a distinctive white-spotted head. Native to the Guaporé River basin on the Brazil-Bolivia border, Sterbai Corys are one of the few Corydoras species that thrive in warmer water, making them an excellent companion for discus and other tropical setups.
Care Guide
- Tank Size: Minimum 80L; best kept in groups of 6 or more — social fish that are most active and confident in larger groups
