Corydoras Similis 2cm

The Smudge Spot Cory is a charming and active little catfish that brings life to the lower levels of any planted aquarium. Corydoras similis, native to the Rio Madeira basin in Brazil, is named for the distinctive smudge-like spot at the base of the tail. Like all corydoras, they are social, peaceful, and thrive in the company of their own kind — a small group will spend their days busily foraging across the substrate, making them endlessly entertaining to watch.

• Tank Size: Minimum 60L; best kept in groups for natural social behaviour
• Water Parameters: pH 6.0–7.5 | Temp 22–26°C | Soft to moderately hard freshwater
• Diet: Omnivore — sinking pellets, wafers, and small live or frozen foods (bloodworm, daphnia, brine shrimp); will scavenge leftover food from the substrate
• Temperament: Peaceful; an excellent community fish compatible with most small, non-aggressive species
• Tank Setup: Fine sand substrate (essential to protect barbels); planted with open foraging areas and some cover
