Celestial Pearl Danio 2cm

The Celestial Pearl Danio (Danio margaritatus), also known as the Galaxy Rasbora, is one of the most breathtaking nano fish ever discovered. Found in small, heavily vegetated ponds in Myanmar, it displays a deep midnight-blue body scattered with iridescent pearl-white spots, vivid orange-red fins with bold black striping, and an almost otherworldly beauty that makes it a prized centrepiece in planted nano aquariums. Despite its striking appearance, it is a peaceful and relatively hardy species once settled.

• Tank Size: Minimum 30L; best kept in groups of 10 or more — a balanced mix of males and females reduces male aggression and produces the most vibrant colouration
• Water Parameters: pH 6.5–7.5 | Temp 20–26°C | Soft to moderately hard water; stable, well-maintained parameters are important
• Diet: Omnivorous — quality nano pellets and micro flake food; supplement with frozen or live micro worms, daphnia, and baby brine shrimp
• Temperament: Peaceful; ideal for nano and planted community tanks — males can display mild aggression toward each other, best managed with larger groups
• Tank Setup: Densely planted aquarium with open swimming areas; darker substrate and good lighting showcases their stunning pearl spotting and vivid fin colouration
