The Blue Emperor Tetra (Inpaichthys kerri) is a stunning schooling fish from the upper Aripuanã River basin in Brazil. Males are particularly eye-catching, displaying a deep iridescent blue body with a bold black lateral stripe and vivid yellow-orange fins — a colour combination that rivals even the most celebrated tetras. A relatively peaceful and hardy species that adds a dramatic splash of colour to any planted community aquarium.
