Betta Miniopinna Unsexed Wild 2.5cm

The Betta Miniopinna (Betta miniopinna) is an exceptionally rare and tiny wild Betta endemic to a very restricted range in the Bintan Island peat swamps of Indonesia. One of the smallest Betta species in the world, it displays subtle but beautiful colouration — a translucent body with iridescent blue-green scaling and delicate fin patterning. A true collector’s species, Betta miniopinna is critically endangered in the wild, making responsible captive keeping and breeding of great conservation importance.

• Tank Size: Minimum 20L; best kept as a species-only pair or small group in a nano setup
• Water Parameters: pH 4.0–6.0 | Temp 24–28°C | Soft, acidic blackwater; Indian almond leaves and peat filtration essential
• Diet: Carnivorous — live or frozen micro foods; baby brine shrimp, micro worms, and daphnia; very small mouth requires appropriately sized food
• Temperament: Peaceful; best kept as a species-only pair or small group
• Tank Setup: Nano planted tank with leaf litter, fine-leaved plants, and very dim lighting; replicates their peat swamp habitat
