The Betta Jade (Betta sp. ‘Jade’) is a rare and beautiful wild Betta from the blackwater peat swamps of southern Thailand, closely related to Betta simplex. It takes its name from the stunning jade-green iridescent scaling that shimmers across its body and fins — a subtle, jewel-like colouration that is best appreciated under soft, warm aquarium lighting. A mouthbrooding species with fascinating natural behaviours, the Betta Jade is a prized find for the dedicated wild Betta collector.
