The Apistogramma Borellii Opal is a serene and beautifully coloured dwarf cichlid, perfect for the discerning aquarist. Apistogramma borellii (Opal variant), males shimmer with a soft blue-green iridescence across the body and fins, with delicate yellow and orange highlights that intensify during courtship. One of the more peaceful and adaptable Apistogramma species, they are an excellent choice for planted community setups.

Diet: Carnivore — prefers live and frozen foods (bloodworm, brine shrimp, daphnia); accepts quality micro pellets
Temperament: One of the more peaceful Apistogramma species; males may spar but rarely cause serious harm — best kept as a pair or harem
Tank Setup: Planted with caves, driftwood, and leaf litter; low to moderate flow and subdued lighting
