Anubias Coffeefolia (Anubias barteri var. coffeefolia) is one of the most distinctive Anubias cultivars, native to West and Central Africa. Its deeply corrugated, dark-green leaves with a rich, textured surface resemble coffee plant foliage — giving it an unmistakable, premium look that commands attention in any aquascape. On a medium piece of Malaysian driftwood, this plant becomes a substantial, ready-to-place statement piece for mid-sized to larger aquariums. Malaysian driftwood releases gentle tannins that naturally soften the water, creating ideal conditions for this striking cultivar to thrive.
Propagation: Divide the rhizome with a clean, sharp blade ensuring each section has at least 3–4 healthy leaves. Reattach to hardscape using aquarium-safe super glue or fishing line. Never bury the rhizome in substrate as it will rot.
