Rose Leaf Ammania, Ammannia gracilis 'Rose Leaf', is a striking and colourful stem plant native to tropical West Africa, prized in the aquarium hobby for its lance-shaped leaves that emerge in warm shades of olive-green to rose-pink and deepen to vivid orange-red under high light and CO2 — creating a glowing, jewel-like accent in the midground or background of any planted aquascape. One of the more rewarding red stem plants to grow, it rewards good conditions with exceptional colour intensity that few other plants can match.
Propagation: Take stem cuttings of 5–10cm, remove lower leaves, and replant into the substrate. Pinch tops regularly to encourage bushy lateral growth and maintain vibrant colouration.
