Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' (Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini') is a compact, slow-growing cultivar of the classic red Alternanthera, prized for its vivid magenta-red to deep crimson leaves that bring a striking splash of warm colour to the foreground and midground of any planted aquascape. Supplied here as a pest- and disease-free tissue culture, it offers a clean, healthy start for your tank. Its smaller leaf size and restrained growth habit make it far more manageable than the standard form, allowing it to be used as a precise, jewel-toned accent without constant trimming. Under high light and CO2, the colour intensifies to a breathtaking deep red that contrasts beautifully against green carpets and mosses.
Propagation: Take stem cuttings of 3–5cm, remove lower leaves, and replant into the substrate. Grows slowly but steadily with consistent fertilisation.
