Alternanthera reineckii βMiniβ (Alternanthera reineckii βMiniβ) is a compact, slow-growing cultivar of the classic red Alternanthera, prized for its vivid magenta-red to deep crimson leaves that bring a striking splash of warm colour to the foreground and midground of any planted aquascape. Its smaller leaf size and restrained growth habit make it far more manageable than the standard form, allowing it to be used as a precise, jewel-toned accent without constant trimming. Under high light and CO2, the colour intensifies to a breathtaking deep red that contrasts beautifully against green carpets and mosses.
Propagation: Take stem cuttings of 3β5cm, remove lower leaves, and replant into the substrate. Grows slowly but steadily with consistent fertilisation.
