Schismatoglottis prietoi 5+ Leaf Aquarium Aquatic Fish Tank Plant submersed grown RARE

Schismatoglottis prietoi, is a newly added aquatic plant to the hobby with a similar structure to anubias. This rhizome plant will need CO2 but can grow in low-medium light Once established, it grows quickly and beautifully. Similarly to anubias expect to see a new leaves weekly from each head.

As rhizome plants, they must be securely attached to surfaces such as driftwood or rock, which can be achieved with aquarium-safe glue. These plants are able to absorb nutrients through the water column, making them ideal for soaking up nitrates produced by messy fish. However, to ensure optimal growth, it is still recommended to use a comprehensive liquid fertiliser to provide all necessary micro and macro nutrients.
