Native to India, Lagenandra meeboldii 'Bleeding Heart' is a relatively new species to the aquarium hobby, It displays a striking red-pink colouration and has a unique leaf pattern unseen in many aquatic plants.
Care is similar to cryptocoryne’s by introducing this root heavy plant to nutrient rich substrate, this can be achieved through AquaLabs enrich root tabs. Legenandra’s are a slow growing genus, which propagate similarly to anubias via rhizome separation
Similar to crypts please note that plant may experience melt back, this is a natural process for the plant to conserve energy by shedding its oldest leaves.
