Echinodorus 'Soekarno' is a striking and highly sought-after sword plant cultivar, named in honour of Indonesia's first president and prized for its vivid, intensely red to deep crimson leaves that hold their colour beautifully under good lighting conditions. The broad, lance-shaped leaves form a bold, upright rosette that commands immediate attention as a centrepiece or focal point in any planted aquascape. One of the most richly coloured sword plants available, 'Soekarno' delivers a dramatic splash of red that few other aquarium plants can rival, making it a must-have for collectors and aquascapers who love bold colour.
Propagation: Produces adventitious plantlets on flower stems. Allow plantlets to develop 2–3 leaves and roots before separating from the mother plant.
