Hornwort/Foxtail ‘Ceratophyllum demersum’

Hornwort, or Foxtail, is a low-maintenance aquatic plant that can be easily kept as a free-floating addition to your tank. It is a great choice for indoor or outdoor use in Australia throughout the year.

Hornwort is especially beneficial for egg scatterers, including medaka and minnows, due to its rapid growth and ability to provide cover for fry. Additionally, its dense growth and fine lead structure provide vital oxygen to the ecosystem.

To ensure optimal growth, it is recommended to use a comprehensive liquid fertiliser to provide all necessary micro and macro nutrients to this water column feeding species
